As the Japanese and original voice for Valgarv, Takagi-san is responsible for bringing Valgarv to life. He has an impressive resume that includes many roles from anime, video games and overseas Japanese dubs. Some of his more notable roles include Bellamy from One Piece, Uchiha Obito from Naruto Shippuden, Sanzo from Saiyuki, Rubeus from Sailor Moon R and Cheetor from Beast Wars: Transformers.
I love Takagi-san's performance as Valgarv. He manages to pull off all of Valgarv's emotions so well, from coolly arrogant in the beginning to incredibly pained and full of hatred as he transforms into his ancient ryuzoku form. He sounds rough and formidable; I can't imagine a better voice actor for Valgarv's character. ♥
Name: Scott Rayow (Scottie Ray)

When Mr. Rayow took on the task of voicing the English-language version of Valgarv, he wasn't very well known at the time as it was one of his earliest roles. Since then, he's taken on a few other notable roles in both anime and video games. His most well known role is likely that of Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003).
As for his performance as Valgarv, he puts on a slight British accent for the role that gives Valgarv a sort of foreign sound as no one else in the series has a similar accent. I like this as it tends to put him apart from everyone else, emphasizing his loneliness. He does an excellent job of making Valgarv sound both sinister and arrogant. He also provides the English voice for Erulogos, one of Armace's companions!
